The weather this weekend was glorious (low 80s, low humidity, light breeze)…a reminder of Fall. In addition to the draw of the lake itself, there are several planned events that might give you an additional excuse to make a trip here!
We understand that the new drive in theater and diner (they’ve bringing in the old Cosmos’ diner building from Cheasapeake) will open around Labor Day…no word yet on the first movie or the menu…
The 18th Annual Antique Boat Show will take place on September 18th at Mariners Landing.
The 20th Annual Wine Festival will be the weekend of September 27 & 28. The new location is Lakewatch Plantation on 122.
The Charity Home Tour is October 3, 4 & 5. Tour by boat or car.
The Fall Festival will be October 11th at Saunders/Parkway Marina.
The 6th Annual Chili Festival is scheduled for November 1st.
