Years on the job has some benefits…
One of the interesting aspects of practicing real estate in the same area for a long period of time is getting to see houses change with different owners…Yesterday we went to a broker’s luncheon at a house that we had shown several times when it was for sale in 2001(it might as well have been a handyman special then)…and now it is for sale again but not before the present owner renovated it, changed it, added on to it (2 car garage and much decking-great spot for a hot tub!), cleared out trees, etc. MUCH better house! (Of course, much bigger price tag too!). One of the interesting things that they did was down at the dock…The original dock was a full length party dock. The new owners wanted their boat completely covered but didn’t really want to give up the party dock. It looks like they added some length to the dock so that they could add a tiki bar and put a regular roof on the new length plus about half of the old dock and left the rest of the old party deck on there…nice compromise I hadn’t seen before.
